Atlanta is unfortunately not a city known for its public transportation.
Although guests may choose to rent a car and there is parking at the wedding venue, a car is not necessary for the weekend activities.
There is a MARTA station in the airport, which is a cheap ($2.50) and convenient way to get into the Midtown. Jeff would like to point out that it is possible to Old Fourth Ward via MARTA if you are willing to get on a bus.
An Uber/Lyft from the airport to Midtown or Old Fourth Ward is between $30 and $60 depending on demand.
Our Wedding Venue, The Piedmont Room, is convieniently located near a large number of hotels. We have provided a few suggestions in Midtown and Old Fourth Ward, but there are more than 20 hotels within a few miles of our venue. If none of these match what you are looking for, we are happy to provide feedback!

Lodging: Midtown Atlanta
AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown
This is where we are staying! This hotel is 1.5 miles from the venue and next to Moxy Atlanta. Hotel has an outdoor pool and access to restaurants. The rooms are more traditional compared to Moxy Atlanta.
Moxy Atlanta Midtown
This is a trendy hotel that is 1.5 miles from the Piedmont Room. Has an outdoor pool several restaurants, and a a boutique hotel feel. Added bonus - free cocktail upon check-in.
Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta
This is where we are staying! This hotel is less than a mile from the Piedmont Room. Lauren and her mom stayed here when she was apartment searching in Atlanta first time. Since that time Lauren's parents have stayed here many times! Walking distance to some bars and restaurants.
Lodging: Old Fourth Ward
FORTH Hotel Atlanta
This is one of Atlanta's newest hotels, along the eastside beltline. This is an ideal spot for our trendiest friends. There is a outdoor pool and you will be steps away from Ponce City Market and the eastside beltline. This hotel is one mile from the Piedmont Room.
Hotel Clermont Atlanta, by Oliver
This is one of Atlanta's most famous boutique hotels. It is an eclectic spot with a great rooftop bar, hotel bar, Michelin rated French restaurant, and Atlanta's strip club with "Atlanta's most experienced strippers." This hotel is walking distance from from Ponce City Market and the eastside beltline. This hotel is one mile from the Piedmont Room.
Wylie Hotel Atlanta, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
This hotel is a more budget friendly hotel within walkig distance of the eastside beltline and Ponce City Market. This hotel is one mile from the Piedmont Room. The best way to get to this hotel from the airport is an Uber or Lyft, although Jeff would like to point out that it is possible to get here via Marta if you are willing to get on a bus.
